Just Like That (matrix group work)

30 minutes group work. Then presentations of product in new groups.

Group 1.

Together go through the plot of the story.

Find all the words in the text that describe the boy’s feelings (for instance ‘excited’). Write them down. Based on the words you found discuss what kind of development (udvikling) the boy goes through during the story.

 

Group 2.

Together go through the plot of the story.

Find all the words used to describe the kangaroos in the text (for instance ‘paws like small hands’). Write them down. Discuss what kind of effect these words have.

 

Group 3.

Together go through the plot of the story.

Find all the places where the boy or the boy and the man interact with nature. Write them down. Discuss what his or their relationship with nature symbolises.

 

Group 4.

Together go through the plot of the story.

Look for repetitions of key words and phrases in the text. Write them down and how many times they are used in the text. Discuss what effect the repetitions have.

 

Group 5.

Together go through the plot of the story.

Write down all the man’s dialog in the story. Together try to characterize him based on his dialog.
